Grandpa and Grandson in a fit of pique

Water Lily blooms by night
The lotus blooms by day
Grandfather is perfectly right
What all and sundry say.

-----------------

You have become a frog of whimsy
All of a sudden my Grandson -
Tadpole, as off your tail gone
And are doing mischiefs on poor me
Solely vexing; but keep in mind,
Those all are in my diary written.

When you are of age and a judge
And put me behind the bar,
Won't forget to read for once and all
The manuscript I've left in the locker.

"You are leaping up to my head - bald
And drawing what grotesque thing?"
"A picture of the lily fairy - very charming."
In response says the lad in tune - subdued.

"A mischievous imp! I fully understand.
I can go through your mind," says grandpa,
"Tomorrow you'll surely go to lotus Elf-a
To propose and beg her sweet petal - hand."

The boy prays with his palms, folded,
"Never ever this should be disclosed.
Grandpa, I won't paint onwards now
On your head which top to bottom knows.

It took no longer to come to terms
Between the two knights at WAR,
When Grandma arrived with plateful things -
The delicious cakes made in misty winter.
