O Liberty, let the bird live

O Liberty, let the bird live

I fly above the sky, over the mounds and hills,
The oceans, rivers, cities, meadows and fields.
None but the dark or sombre clouds or mists,
Tempests, showers or hails hinder my sail.
But I fear not, neither furl my wings ever ;
Nor l throttle my voice of beauty and joyous life.
But I fear you, the man, bereft of mercy,

With fiery fierce gun in hand aiming at me
Lurking nowhere, to strip of my liberty,
To call upon Hell to my being, my existence !

O humanity, what benignity you've bestowed,
Brought upon the frail? but what did Prometheus
To save Life and Civilization that you boast of,
And by that eternal damnation suffers nature
Is fire, in thousand form --  hatred, animosity,
Malice, hostality, detestation -- such and so on
Are flameless but more Infernal than the fire
That burns the corpse in the crematorium pyre.
